With the Soft Touch double first base, both fielder and runner have their own base, to reduce the chance of collision. Molded from a cut-resistant polyurethane, the 7” stem fits into a ground mount. Orange side is anchored under base with a hammer-in spike that is provided. Note: This base is not a release style base due to the dual anchor system. Although this base is designed to reduce sliding injuries, it is not a substitute for using proper sliding techniques.
